Monclova Cookbooks Have Arrived! GREAT GIFT IDEA!

The long-awaited Monclova cookbooks have arrived from the printers! Thanks to everyone who submitted recipes! These cookbooks feature favorite recipes from some of Monclova’s best cooks. A free cookbook stand is included with each one. The cookbooks are available in the Community Center office; cost is $18.50, plus sales tax. To purchase your copy, please contact the office at (419) 861-1336.

Twice each year, supplements will be available to add to your cookbook, which features a 3-ring binder format. The first supplement will feature holiday cookies and treats, and will be available beginning November 19, 2007. Future supplements will focus on gourmet grilling, main dishes for one or two, kids’ favorites, and more! Memorial Bricks and Wooden Replicas for sale! GREAT GIFT IDEAS!

Looking for some great gift ideas for the upcoming holiday season? The Monclova Historical Foundation has several items available for sale! Hand-painted wooden replicas of the old Monclova School, the old Monclova Post Office, and Hinkle’s Store are available. Memorial bricks are a great way to memorialize or honor someone by having his or her name engraved on a paver brick! They’re also a way to recognize entire families! Community Education Teachers Needed!

Do you have a hobby or special skill that you would like to teach to others? The Community Center is always looking for instructors for our community education program.
